Review: Futurama series 6 Clobberella and Amy

For those who didn't get Robot Santa an SDCC last year, he can finally be completed with series 6, which includes Cloberella and Amy Wong. With Amy the Planet Express crew is close to being finished and Clobberella finishes off the New Justice Team.

WARNING: Be careful removing Robot Santa's arm holding the tommy gun. The hand broke off from the gun when removing it, but I was able to fix it with some glue.

Packaging *** 1/2

Toynami continues with their awesome packaging that looks great looking for anyone wanting to keep their figures in packaging and very collector friendly allowing the figures to be reboxed easily. Very nice graphics and great pics of Clobberella and Amy on the back.

Articulation Clobberella *, Amy * 1/2, Robot Santa **

Both Cloberrella and Amy have the same articulation, but on Clobberella it is almost useless. Her hands are meant to be posed at her sides and you can sort of get away with posing them up a little, but it is pretty limited. She also has a neck joint, but her hair gets in the way of her head actually turning.

Amy is slightly better since she can turn her head and put her arm up to aim her gun, but that is about it. Robot Santa has joints on his legs and head, but they aren't very useful, but can turn his waist and moves his arms. Overall the articulation is pretty limited.

Accessories **

The only accessory for either Amy or Clobberella is Amy's ray gun, but considering we are getting pieces for build-a-figure Robot Santa they get two stars. Leela comes with his left and right arm, while Amy comes with his left arm holding his Tommy gun and a spiked ball for his hat.

Sculpt ***

The sculpt on both of the figures is pretty good. The back of Amy's hair is a little odd looking and I don't remember seeing it in the show, but she looks great from the front. Leela looks great, though her hair gets in the way of her keeping a nice tight neck joint. I would have preferred Amy to have her mouth open when she says "Guh" on the show rather than the neutral looks she has.

Paint ***

First glad to see that they did a much better job with Leela's hair color this time around. The lines are pretty good, though there are some areas with paint slopped on that don't give a very consistant looking paint job. Also Amy's skin color looks a little off, but nothing too terrible.

Overall ***

Glad to finally have this wave in my hands. While more articulation and accessories would be great and there are some issues with paint overall I'm really liking these figures. The New Justice Team looks great together and it is great to finally finish Robot Santa. Can't wait for the next wave to finish off the Planet Express crew.
