With the new Star Wars: The Clone Wars going on sale on July 26, Toys R Us has decided to open select stores at midnight to help celebrate the launch of the new toys, including the new Falcon and AT-TE and all the new Clone Wars figures. So to find out if your store is participating head on over to check out their big list.

Users of Netflix should be happy to know that they have come to their senses and decided to keep the Profiles feature allowing different memebers in a household to each have their own queue. It is great to see that they listened to their customers and quickly changed course. You can read all about it here.

Sideshow has up a pretty cool video with the creators of their 12" G.I. Joe line. It does a nice job showing off what fans they are of G.I. Joe and all the work they are putting into doing justice to all the characters. Definitely worth checking out, plus a sneak peek at some design work for Cobra Commander and a look at a Cobra Soldier.

At the Targets around me, I found the Battle Rancor half off for $20, the Order 66 two packs for $5, the Target exclusive Tranformer figures for $5 and a few other 30%. They also has some of the Pirates and TMNT stuff on clearnce.

Blizzard has announced Diablo III and it looks like everything you loved from the previous games and a lot of cool new stuff. The game looks very much like the previous version of Diablo, but with some nice interface enhancements, better graphics, and interactive environments. Instead of attacking a group of enemies, just knock a wall down on them.

So far they have shown of two of the 5 classes available in Diablo III. First up is the old favorite Barbarian and he looks more bad ass than ever. New to the game is the Witch Doctor who has some great disease and fire spells and can raise pets or even a wall of zombies. Another cool thing is that you can be male or female version of the classes. And of course you can team up with your friends to take on Diablo and his minions.

Netflix is a really great service and has really revolutionized renting movies, but now they are embarking on one of the stupidest moves imaginable. One of the coolest features of Netflix is the ability for multiple people in a household to each have their own queue and getting rid of that will really devalue their service. And the best quote in the email they sent out is "While it may be disappointing to see Profiles go away, this change will help us continue to improve the Netflix website for all our customers." So they improve their service by taking one of the coolest features on the site away. So since they can't fix whatever issues they have with profiles, they are just going to take them away??

So for people using Netflix after September 1st, they are going to have to spend a lot more time managing their queues. Then each person will have to share the rating system or only one person will get to use it, really making their recomendation system worthless.

Well, this could be a big opportunity for Blockbuster, if they can get profiles in their system in the next two months to really pull away customers from Netflix. Instead of giving away a million dollars to improve their recommendation system, maybe they should have spent it on trying to keep profiles around. Judging by the comments on Digg, hopefully the huge backlash will get them to change their mind quickly or then the question is on September 1st do I cancel or just cut back from 4 to 2 a month??

If you grew up playing the Nintendo Entertainment System, then you probably know how tempremental the system can be due to the cartridge connector. So if you want to play your old games you can either head to ebay and get a top loading NES or you can head over to Wired, where they have a video on replacing the 72 pin connector easily and cheaply and some other tips to get your old system up and running again.
